Version History for Rules & Skills
Rules and skills shape what your agents do, and until now an edit overwrote what came before with no way back. Now every save is kept.
How it works
- Every save is a version. Each time you edit a rule or skill, Nairi records a full snapshot: the content, who changed it, and when. Nothing is thrown away.
- Restore in a click. Open the Versions panel (on a rule's edit page, or from the Versions button on a skill), pick an earlier version, and restore it. The current version is marked and stays put until you choose to move.
- Restore is safe to undo. Restoring doesn't rewind. It brings the old content back as a new version on top, so a restore can itself be restored, and you can never lock yourself out of a change you made.
- Say what changed. Every save takes an optional "What changed?" note, so six versions deep you still know why each one happened.
Reading the history
Version numbers now show up in your activity history: edited rule "Run tests" → v3, restored to v1 → v4. A restored version also records where it came from, so the panel reads v4 · restored from v2 at a glance.
Anyone who can edit a rule or skill can see its versions and restore them. Rules and skills you already have are kept from today forward: your current content becomes version 1, and the next edit starts the history.
Also in this update
- Reconnecting Slack just works. Re-adding an already-connected Slack workspace, to pick up new permissions for example, used to fail and throw away the fresh token. It now refreshes the connection in place, so your channels and agents keep running.
